Maltashopper operates Maltashopper Omnibus, a Shopify app that records product-price history and displays verified prior-price notices for merchants.

Information the app processes

• Permanent Shopify shop domain, Shopify shop ID, currency and locale.
• Product and variant identifiers, handles, status, listed prices, compare-at prices and eligible automatic-discount configuration.
• Shopify authentication sessions and access tokens required to run the app on the merchant’s behalf.
• Merchant or staff user identifiers, name, email address and locale when Shopify includes them in an authenticated online session.
• App configuration, synchronization status and operational logs.

The app does not request access to customer or order records, customer addresses, customer email addresses or phone numbers, or payment-card details.

How information is used

Information is used only to authenticate the merchant, maintain per-store price history, calculate prior-price references, operate the storefront block, provide support and secure the service. Merchant data is not sold or used for advertising.

Storage, subprocessors and retention

The service is hosted on Cloudflare and integrates with Shopify. Merchant records are logically isolated by the permanent Shopify shop domain. Access sessions are removed when the app is uninstalled. Remaining shop data is erased when Shopify sends its mandatory shop-redaction request, normally 48 hours after uninstall, unless retention is legally required.
